What We Believe

Our Mission Statement:

"We are a family of believers in Jesus; loved and equipped by God; and empowered by the Holy Spirit to pray for and serve each other; and to be salt and light to the ends of the Earth."

The following is a brief summary of our basic beliefs...

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God and inerrant in the original writings.
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe in the present ministry and baptism of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.
  • We believe that all mankind is lost and sinful and must be saved, and that man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
  • We believe in the present and future manifestation of God’s kingdom on the earth.
  • We believe in and practice water baptism, which signifies the believer’s death, burial, and resurrection into new life with Christ Jesus; and also in the regular celebration of Communion as commanded by our Lord.
  • We believe that the scriptures teach that the Bible defines marriage as the permanent, exclusive joining of one man and one woman.
  • We believe in and fully affirm the inclusion of women in all areas of church life, government and leadership.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We believe it is incumbent upon those who are believers in Jesus Christ to walk in a manner befitting the tenets of Christianity.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved: those who are saved into eternal life; and those who are unsaved into eternal damnation.
